The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) was established through a Presidential Order on August 3,1954, to be administered directly by the Prime Minister.

Department of Atomic Energy Recruitment 2024: Since 1956, DAE has been recruiting Scientific Officers annually through the Bhabha Atomic Research Schools to drive its various nation building programmes.
This advertisement is to invite applications for the recruitment of Trainee Scientific Officers (7505) for the 2024-25 session of the BARC Training Schools.
After successful completion of the Training Programme, the TSOs will be absorbed as Scientific Officers in Group-A Post of the Government of India.

After successful completion of the Training Programme under Department of Atomic Energy Recruitment 2024, the selected candidates will be absorbed as Scientific Officer in Group-A Post of the Government of India in the Level 10- ₹56,100/- of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Total Emoluments, with three increments at the time of joining, will be approximately ₹1,20,000/-p.m. as per the present Mumbai rate.
In addition, the officer would also be availing other benefits such as L.T.C., medical facilities for the Officer and his / her dependent family members, Children’s Education Allowance, Professional Update Allowance and Performance Related Incentive Scheme (PRIS) as per Government norms subject to approval and revised from time to time.

Educational Opportunities
Trainee Scientific Officers in Engineering disciplines who successfully complete the Training Programme and whose performance meets a minimum eligibility criterion are allowed to enroll for M.Tech. in Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), a Deemed to be University.
Those not desirous of pursuing M.Tech. or those belonging to Science disciplines are entitled to a Post-Graduate Diploma of HBNI provided their Performance in the Training Programme meets a minimum eligibility criterion.
The Scientific Officers of DAE are also provided with an opportunity to pursue Ph.D. under the aegis of HBNI during their professional career, provided their academic performance is above a specified threshold.
How to Apply for Atomic Energy Recruitment 2024?
A minimum of 60% aggregate (or minimum of 6.0 CGPA on the scale of 10.0 or equivalent) as per the ordinances of the respective university, in the qualifying degree is an essential eligibility requirement. Science postgraduates are further required to have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in B.Sc., to make them eligible. The eligible disciplines and degrees areas follows:
- For Engineering Disciplines: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc.(Engg.) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical / Materials, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science / Computer Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering.
- For Science Disciplines: (a) M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences.
(b) M.Sc. / equivalent M.Tech. in Geology, Applied Geology, Applied Geochemistry, 5-Year Integrated AI .Tech. in Geological Technology,
